China Asean Resources owns an Economic Land Concession (the
“Concession”) measuring approx. 20,000 hectares
(equivalent to approximately 200 million sq.m.)
in Kratie Province, Kingdom of Cambodia. The
Concession is for a period of 70 years
commencing 2007.
Our core businesses are:
A. Forestry and wood processing
Based on reports by The
Research Institute of Tropical Forestry, a unit
within the Chinese Academy of Forestry, the
Concession had more than 5 million cubic metres
of timber stock.
We carry out logging and process the salvage
logs into sawn timber, wood flooring materials,
particleboards, plywood and furniture.
B. Plantation
We are cultivating a rubber plantation in the
Concession progressively as the forest is
cleared. We will produce latex from the matured
rubber trees from about 2013. We will also
explore the cultivation of other economic plants
including jatropha, rice and corn.
